Lions Gate and A Myth of Ancient Egypt Relative to Today
Aug 06, 2025Greetings Dear Readers
Currently we are experiencing radiant blessings from a portal and rainbow of light streaming from The World Above through an alignment between the star Sirius and planet Earth, opening and creating an energy bridge of light, known as Lions Gate. The Lion’s Gate begins to open around July 28 and continues until august 12, peeking in its expression on August 8 (8.08). The day after this energy peek on 09.08.2025 (26/8) we have a full moon in Aquarius, ruled by the planet Uranus. Radiating out a triple infinity 8:8:8 light code. During this wtime the Sun is in Leo with the symbol of Lion and Lioness (personal power, courage and leadership medicine), opposite Aquarius and the symbol of the Water Bearer (carrier of heart and collective community consciousness and flowing communication medicine), gracing us with their presence.
This celestial phenomenon, though occurring for countless of thousands of years, appears to have only begun to be labelled Lions Gate in relatively recent times. However, a similar celebration of this earthly alignment with Sirius, a star known as Sopdet or Sepdet[1] by ancient Egyptians, appeared ancient sky close to this time and was honoured and celebrated. The ancient Egyptians saw Sopdet as being closely associated with the Goddess of fertility, Isis, who was also the sister and wife of the god Osiris. She was a revered mother figure and worshipped for her healing and magical powers and association to fertility and as a protector of the dead[2].
In those times, the peoples of Egypt would watch for the light of the sun to shift to allow Sirius to be seen above the horizon. This time would coincide with their great River Nile in full flow, even flooding, watering nearby crops, ensuring water of plenty for the year ahead. This would, according to agricultural season, be seen as the start of the Egyptian New Year[3]. The ‘opening of the new year’ was celebrated with a feast and festival known as Wepet-Renpet Festival where the death and rebirth of the god Osiris was remembered and honoured[4]. Osiriswas known as the Lord of the Underworld who oversaw and judged the passage of death into the afterlife. He is seen as being powerful god and leader associated historically with agriculture and fertility[5]. Egyptian mythology’s creation story tells us of Osiris as the eldest child of Geb, the earth god, and Nut, the sky goddess. He is also known as the brother and husband of Isis who together became rulers of the fertile Northland, and brother to Set who with his wife Nephthys were given the task as rulers of the Southland.
The myth of these two brothers tells a tale of jealousy and greed with a tragic end. The story behind death and rebirth of Osiris will be known by many of you, however I will tell a short form of it here as the energy behind it is relevant to the competitive and warring energies and story of destruction we are experiencing here on earth, as well as in a more positive way when we consider a story of reconstruction being graced with under the zodiac sun sign of benevolent Leo and this Lions Gate portal.
The Myth of the Death and Resurrection of God of the Underworld and Afterlife, Osiris
Osiris, as mentioned was the first-born child of Geb and Nut, Earth and Sky, and inherited the beautiful, fertile lands of in the north. In a very cunning fashion where trickery and persuasion were at play, Osiris was murdered by his jealous brother Seth, who coveted the northland and Isis. After killing him, Set dismembered Osiris and scattered his body parts across Egypt.
When she heard this terrible news, Isis was heartbroken and set out successfully to find the scattered pieces of Osiris with the help of her sister Nephthys, and her loyal protector, Anubis. With her magical powers, Isis reassembled Osiris's body using her magical powers and sacred medicines and was able to resurrect him long enough to conceive their son, Horus. Osiris then entered the Underworld to become the god of Afterlife, while Isis continued to play a vital role in protecting their son, Horus, and ensuring the continuation of life[6]. The story continues when a shocking battle occurs between Horus and Set at a later time.
An Additional Review by Dr Cornelius Van Dorp
This myth first came to me when I read Dr Corn’s book Crystal Mission. I will leave Dr Corn, who has greater knowledge of it than me, to elaborate on how this myth may relate to the current significant events we are experiencing here on Earth. I will meet you again on the other side:
Kia ora, this is Dr Corn – Heather has asked me to dip back into my first book Crystal Mission, first published in 1992, when I researched deeply into the Egyptian history and mythology. At this time, I was researching and writing about the event when Set by trickery and deceit defeated his brother Osiris – and quoting the beautiful poetic rendition of this story written in a section entitled “the Duel” by Normandi Ellis in her book Awakening Osiris - The Egyptian Book of the Dead[7]. At the end of this chapter I came to believe that this story, in which Osiris had his body cut into 14 pieces, related to an ancient event in which the harmonious single continent on the planet was broken up in a great cataclysm into Continents and Islands. The world has been out of harmony ever since, relating to the endless warfare between Set and Horus, the vengeful son of Isis and Osiris.
Now in this age, I believe, is the time when we are waking up to our captivity within the energies of constant battles and warfare and learning how to discover our female nurturing sides as peacemakers and as such to revive and restore the Feminine Spirit Lines across the planet and cosmos. As above, so below – as we discover our whole selves as peacemakers and take actions with this knowledge, then the whole world can come to peaceful harmonious co-existence.
I think a good example of these types of actions is the Earth Star energy grid[8] Heather and I co-created over the City of Brisbane in 2023-24, which had the input of male and female energies in peaceful balance, and I believe is interacting with ancient song lines and grid lines to bring a peacemaking effect in divine time… at least that is our intention and there is much power in intention as we all know.
Conclusion
As Weavers of the Light and Warriors of Love, Wisdom and Peace, we as a collective stride to right past wrongs and illuminate and dissipate shadows cast by ill intention by some misguided leaders. In shamanic terms we can relate this to the ongoing mission of deconstruction that necessarily occurs before the possibility of reconstruction[9] into new, benevolent and harmonious ways. The concept behind this, relevant to what we are experiencing in today’s global Awakening, is that in order to assist humanity to arrive where it is divinely destined to be on a collective level, it needs to be pulled apart to reveal and heal anything that has been seeded by forces of darkness and then put back together from a place of love and willingness to birth a new way (the Way of Isis and Osiris).
Divine, courageous and empowered Feminine goddesses, oracles, deities and saints such as Isis, Hathor, Freyja, Mother Mary, Mary Magdalen, Laka, St Brigid and Quan Yin, and archetypal feminine spirit lines within Mother Nature, Mother Earth, as well as Venus, in the celestial realms, have shown us the power, courage and healing of radiant unconditional love, that at times has to be protective and defensive. We can activate this power when we gather on our individual and collective missions and in holding sacred circles and ceremonies. We can do this though daily rituals and prayer, and by deepening our faith and confidence in who we are and why we are here. This is the sacred path of the Earth Star Warrior. Each year, under the activation of the Lionsgate, we are supported by our Star Being families, Celestial Helpers and Ancestors in the World Above to this end. One of my favourite prayers is one to Mother Mary that a dear friend recently introduced me to that I find most helpful to say every day, particularly at times of imbalance:
Mother Mary, thank you for the grace of learning to let go.
Please grant me the grace of piety,
So I can see every person as divine.
Grant me the grace of fortitude,
So that I may have bodily and mental strength.
Grant me the grace of knowledge,
That I may understand the higher meaning of things.
Grant me the grace of wisdom,
To give me the aptitude to see the choices I need to make.
Hail Mary, Amazing Grace,
You are the Mother of the World.
You are the sun, the moon and the stars.
You are the gentle breeze,
The skating clouds,
The wandering sea.
I see you everywhere that I am.
Please know dear Mother for this
And all my other blessings
I am truly grateful. Amen
Warm Blessings and Love
Heather, and from Dr Corn.

[1] The ancient Egyptians referred to the star Sirius as Sepdet (also transliterated as Sopdet or Sothis). Sopdet was a goddess personifying this bright star, and her appearance in the sky signaled the annual Nile flood and the start of the Egyptian New Year. ” (Google AI, 06.08.25).
[2] In ancient Egypt, the star Sirius, known as Sopdet, was closely associated with the goddess Isis. Sopdet's heliacal rising, just before the annual Nile flood, was linked to Isis and her role as a bringer of life and fertility. Some Egyptians even considered Sirius to be the physical manifestation of Isis in the sky. In ancient Egyptian mythology, Osiris and Isis were husband and wife, and also siblings. Isis was the sister of Osiris, and she married him after they were born to Geb (earth) and Nut (sky). They were deeply in love, even before birth, according to some stories. Osiris was the god of the afterlife and fertility, while Isis was a powerful mother goddess associated with magic, healing, and rebirth. Their relationship is central to the Osiris myth, a foundational story in Egyptian mythology:

The Egyptians grouped the calendar into three four-month seasons; each of these seasons corresponded with the ebb and flow of the Nile River” (Google AI, 06.08.25).
[4] Wepet-Renpet Festival: The Opening of the Year - This was the New Year's Day celebration in ancient Egypt. The festival was a kind of moveable feast as it depended on the inundation of the Nile River. It celebrated the death and rebirth of Osiris, and by extension, the rejuvenation and rebirth of the land and the people. It is firmly attested to as initiating in the latter part of the Old Kingdom of Egypt (c. 2613 - c. 3150 BCE) and is clear evidence of the popularity of the Osiris cult at that time.
