As I walked to the bathroom, I felt warm disturbing energy rise to the surface and the memory of something that occurred two days ago began to surface again (I wrote about it here yesterday and how I chose to be resourceFULL and not give into its potential to drag me into the darkness and chose the way of light instead). I wondered if I had merely suppressed the memory of what had happened, or if I had actually let it go and this was some left over energy that was still hovering in my energy field. I invited it come to the light again for a few minutes and allowed it to enter my mind, finding myself ruminating and making calculations, trying to remember details. Realising it truly was a waste of time and good energy going there again, I pulled myself up, and consciously and wisely chose to let it go, knowing it is history, knowing it cannot be changed, knowing I know to accept there are some things you are powerless over, knowing it is time to move into the True Heart instead of the Wounded Heart.
I began instead to think about how resourceFULL I am, so fortunate to have so many wonderful tools to turn to that have increased my resilience and helped me bounce back from numerous challenges in my life.
One of the greatest tools I have discovered to help me relax is smiling. While I remember reading somewhere (in "Positivity by Barbara Fredrickson I think) that (unconscious) 'false' smiling (when you smile when you really are feeling very upset) or 'fake' smiling (when you are really angry) doesn't do anything positive for you. However, I find that the conscious act of smiling with gratitude, or smiling because you just want to laugh at your powerlessness over a situation as you surrender, or smiling with serenity into a place of stillness, very helpful.
I once wrote a chapter in a book called "Adventures in Manifesting - Love and Oneness" and I called it "Smiling will set you free". It was about smiling at life and its woes, smiling at our ego responses to situations when our inner child takes over and looks at life so seriously, or our inner Victim begins to catastrophy (not sure of the spelling but you know what I mean) and make everything seems so gloomy and impossible, or shameful. Smiling is incredibly powerful when you use it to relax and to let go, to bring you into a place of gratitude and surrender.
I now associate smiling with an affirmation "I am grateFULLl for my life and accept it lovingly with an open and strong heart".
Which leads me into my BountiFULL word to focus on today - GrateFULL. I shall use it thoughtfully, and be aware of it at every opportunity and see what happens and let you know if anything magical occurs. I shall smile and say thank you - and bow and surrender to any lessons that come my way. I will be grateFULL for the shamanic path guiding me through life in such a resourceFULL and empowering, connected way. GrateFULL for the simple things - for the natural beauty of life. I will saturate my day with smiles and affirmations of gratitude, and watch and observe how I feel and experience my day. I am filling up with energy just thinking about it! I shall now use it as a mantra to lull myself back into sleep....
Until next time, remember to live, love and lead in a grateFULL and spirited way! This is the path of FULLness - the Way of the True Heart.
